A Night at Tokyo!

In honor of our families February Birthdays, mine and Traces' we decided to go have dinner at Tokyo. We thought it would be entertaining for the kids....

...not so much for Grayson! He was NOT a fan of the onion volcano!

Two Years Ago.....Time Flies....

2 years ago today Brett and I received the BEST news ever! I was pregnant! We had decided that when it was God's will the time would happen, and it did!!! I was on Spring Break (Cleaning at home, fun!) and Brett was at work (busy season). I just felt "different", so I decided to take a test we had at the house....I had taken one the weekend before and it was negative. Well, I took the test and got started on some cleaning project and forgot about it! About 30 minutes later I remembered, and went to look.....it was POSITIVE!!!!! I emailed Brett and asked him if he could run by the drug store. He immediately called me and came home. We were beyond THRILLED! We went to lunch with my family that day and told them all the news!

Grayson-you will never know the joy you bring to our lives each and every day. We fell in love with you the day we found out about you, and the love has only gotten stronger. You have been nothing but a blessing! You have always been such an easy going little guy with an amazing personality. From the day we met you to 16 1/2 months later you amaze us each and every day! We never realized how much we could love a human being, but now we are experiencing it day in and day out. You are the BEST thing that has ever happened to us and we love you so very much! We are so thankful for you and look forward to all the adventures to come! Thank you for being ours!

16 Months!

I can NOT believe Grayson is already 16 months! Where does the time go!?!? We are so enjoying this phase of his life though! Grayson LOVES to be outside, so each afternoon you can find us at the park, walking, or just playing in the backyard. He is such a blessing to us! His new thing is showing us his nose, mouth, hair, etc. He is absolutely PRECIOUS. He has been nicknamed at school "Mr. Personality" and that he is! I love all of his expressions and it seems he comes up with a new one each day!

Well, it came to the point that Grayson needed a haircut.  I had been contemplating it for weeks....to the point where I would break down crying when I picked up the phone to make an appointment.  I realized that it was time when his buddy Will got a hold of his RATTAIL, and it went downhill from there....

Another Snow Day.....

This past Thursday we had ANOTHER snow day!  I do LOVE to be home with my sweet boy, but would prefer the days when it is warm out!  Catherine and Alex invited us over to play, and we had a great time!  I love watching these boys interact!

Baby Shower!

At the beginning of the month I was honored to help host a baby shower for one of my lifelong friends, Christine.  We had such a great time catching up, and can't wait to meet that precious angel this spring!

We have known each other for 20+ years!  I feel so blessed to have these wonderful friends in my life!

Super Bowl Sunday!

For the past 5 years we have hosted a Super Bowl party with three other couples.(The Artrip's, Pope's, and Garnett's) We normally rotate whose house it is at each year and we all go in together to rent a HUGE blow up TV. We invite all of our friends and everyone brings an appetizer or sweet to share. It is always such a great time and this year it was so much more fun to watch the kids interacting!  They are growing WAY TOO fast!  I can't stand it!  The Super Bowl party was at our house last year and that was Grayson's first night away from us.  It was a hard night, but was great to have friends to distract me!
